Customer Sciences - Converted z/OS-SAS job streams to COBOL II. Converted SASDBs into z/OS flat-files. Converted 3000 lines of "unstructured" SAS programming logic to a less complex and efficient structured COBOL II environment. Created production batch processes in COBOL II to cleanse, warehouse, and summarize over 5,000 very large UNIX piped datasets on the z/OS platform. This mission critical data repository facilitated all marketing, promotions, and customer retention efforts. Wrote batch COBOL II DB2, and SAS programs to integrate new data sources into the warehouse; performed all production control, DBA, DASD management, backup and recovery tasks.

Consolidated Edison NYC- Worked nine months at the client site in NYC programming interfaces to allow a migration of a large financial data warehouse from z/OS-DB2 to NT-SQL Server. This project involved writing and testing over 100 DB2 COBOL II programs with utilities that create flat-files that were downloaded and processed as input transactions on a NT-SQL publishing server platform.
Bristol Myers Squibb NYC- As a member of a fifty-person project team aided construction of a very large data mart using HP-UNIX/ORACLE 7 relational database technology. Concentrating on the data consolidation of customer and product master tables. Supported data team with through analysis and coding changes that produced design enhancements.
Mead Johnson, a division of Bristol Myers Squibb - On site for 5 months at this nutritional formula manufacturer in Evansville Indiana. Performed analysis of sales data in support of a Business Area Architecture engagement. Wrote mainframe ad-hoc queries against z/OS-DB2 and various other data sources in preparation of the BAA conceptual data design document and data metrics.
